On class choice day during spirit week, we dressed up in our Hawaiian gear.
We read about snow crystals in daily five so when we caught it snowing one afternoon, we raced out with black paper to try to catch and examine a few.
Keira shows the class her work. Hannah and Rebecca work on rainbow loom bracelets. Alec shows off one of his bracelets.
We wrote Christmas card to a few soldier friends stationed in the Middle East. This is the picture one of them posted on Facebook to share about all the cards he received from some special third graders. We made so many that each man received at least 10! The gentleman in the front row, third from the left is the son of Mrs. Moore's neighbor. He even shared to his mom that a few of the students used the cards as a chance to really share the Gospel message and most of them wrote about Christmas being the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. What tender hearts for Jesus we have in our class!
