Wax Museum correction
Nov. 7: Living Wax Museum
I think most of the written communication has been correct, but I have mistakenly spoken a few incorrect dates at conferences and perhaps through email. Geesh!
The date of the wax museum was changed from the original date (Nov 21) due to the auditorium updates going on. Somehow I missed that in my head. The project is due and the wax museum presentation is NOV 7th. That gives us 2 full weeks.
The kids have done their research and next week will be doing their writing. I have copied their research and is already in their mailboxes to go home tomorrow so they may start on their board this weekend if you desire. I will also send home the rubric I will use to grade this project. The requirements for the board are listed specifically on the rubric. I gave them a sample presentation today in class.
Next week in class we will write their speeches and begin work on putting key words on index cards. As soon as they are done, I’ll copy their work and make sure one copy comes home for additional practice.
The students will present their board, costume and speech in class and in the gym on Friday, November 7. If anyone wants to present in class prior to that date to get it out of the way, they are welcome to present any day that week.
